Introduction
This is a web quest about discovering avalanches. Within this site you will observe and research different web resources to build your knowledge of avalanches, their occurrence and traveling safety in avalanche country.
This quest will be a virtual lab of discovery where you will have to make hypotheses to questions, follow an investigation, make observations and conclude on what you have found. You and your lab group will also be deciding what about avalanches you would like to further examine for a future study.
If at anytime you do not understand a word look it up in the Avalanche Encyclopedia supported by the Forest Service National Avalanche Center.
Task
The first thing your group will need to do is to open the Avalanche Lab Form.
Once open, you will need to put your names in the proper
box and save the document under your name to your local folder. Keep this file open in a separate window, navigate through the web quest following the directions on the form and fill the appropriate boxes with your answers. Save your document as you progress.
